The history of the band starts in 1965 when two Southern Minnesota bands, The Pacers and The Corvairs, joined together and formed The Epicureans. Eventually The Epicureans became Highway in 1972 and have evolved into The Murphy Brothers Band today. Current members of The Murphy Brothers Band (MBB) include leader, guitarist and vocalist Steve Murphy, Jason Anderson - bass and vocals, Greg George - guitar and vocals and Jay Flugum - drums and vocals. The Murphy Brothers Band was inducted into the MID-AMERICA MUSIC HALL OF FAME in 2012 and Steve Murphy was inducted into the MINNESOTA MUSIC HALL OF FAME in 2014.
