Steve McLoone was born and raised in Waseca, Minnesota where he began singing and performing at the age of 11. As owner and CEO of ULTIMASONGS Records, USR, Steve has written, produced, or performed on numerous records and network commercials. He has toured extensively, and as he says, “I’ve been fortunate to play with and meet some of the greatest musicians and rock stars of our time”.

Steve has been inducted in 3 Music Halls of Fame for Iowa (Headstone), Minnesota/Midwest (Judd Group), and South Dakota (Zero Ted Band). Known for his stage performance, hand-drum percussion skills, and unique voicings, he continues to perform and exhilarate his long-time fans and any newcomers.

Steve’s latest altered-ego, “Gangsta-Hippie”, is his seventh solo record and a follow-up to his last successful release “oldNfunky”. In a continuing tradition of mixing the old with the new and providing the listener with a variety of musical styles, Steve McLoone has perpetuated his legacy with the music of Gangsta Hippie, "Peace, Love and 20 bucks".
